Book 2 of Tracie Delaney’s terrific series is now live. As all the brothers DeVil and their sister Saskia are all part of the powerful billionaire family, these stories, while unique to each couple, do overlap and follow threads that unfold throughout all five books. Therefore, as the author wisely recommends and I concur, they are best experienced in order to get the full effect. What I love about them is that this family, while powerful and occasionally ruthless when necessary, they actually do love each other very much and do a lot of good in the world. It’s fun to see how they rally around each other and their significant others even if the road to each HEA has their twists and turns, detours, and revelations. There’s something to love about each one of these siblings and in turn, each of their paramours who discover their own amazing strengths as well. While Nicholas, being son number two, is far less broody than his older brother Alexander, he’s still burdened by an incredible pain he’s never gotten over. And the feisty Victoria, not wired to play second fiddle to anyone, finds herself the unfortunate position of “runner up” bride after her sister, Nicholas’ fiancé, is murdered. They’re both going to get to the bottom of things but before they do, they’ve got to get on the same team. Hard to do when she absolutely blames him for everything.
