I had a great time narrating this standalone sequel to Michael Kenneth Smith’s “All Is Fair”.
The first book followed the story of Polish fighter pilot Jan Orlinski from when the Blitzkrieg on his home country to his dramatic escape through France to England, joining the RAF’s famed 303 Polish Squadron and meeting the love of his life, Sophie Gordon.
“Fantaisie” continues the couple’s story in post-war France as they pick up the pieces and find a path forward for their young family. As Jan flies cargo missions transporting a mysterious ore for an even more mysterious man to and from the Congo, Sophie secretly begins working with MI6 to clear her past. Both are caught in the nuclear arms race with the Russians and when Sophie is captured and taken to Soviet-occupied Germany, Jan must concoct a daring rescue from one of WWII’s most notorious concentration camps.
